Originally I had the OEM Trail steps, which looked very cool, but weren't ideal for getting in and somewhat in the way getting out. I didn't think to take a photo showing a ruler across the step, however they measure out at exactly 6.5 inches wide As you can see from the photos with the original suspension, the step bisects the total rise from the ground to the threshold. There is lighting built into the system that perfectly illuminates right where you step up. The step has a non skid surface that's very secure even when wet, and to say they feel solid would be an understatement. My sore knees and 5'3" wife say thank you every time we go for a drive.
